Director of Research
Karolina Nowak-Dubois joined the Institute in 2022 as Director of Research, after nine years at Eurostat, latterly leading its work on measurement error and cross-national comparability. She read economics at the University of Warsaw and completed a doctorate in applied statistics at the Paris School of Economics.
She owns the Institute's methodological standards and chairs its internal peer-review process, signing off the analytical approach behind every study before it is published across the nine research programmes. She works with programme directors to keep pre-registration, replication and disclosure practices consistent, and represents the Institute on the methodological review panels it convenes with external advisers.
