Press office

How we work with the media

Our researchers comment only on their own areas of study and on the evidence in published work. We do not take institutional positions on contested policy questions beyond what a given study supports.

  • On the record

Interviews are on the record unless another basis is agreed in advance. We can provide background briefings for context.

  • Data and methods on request

Every published figure comes with its source, sample and method. We are glad to walk a reporter through the underlying data.

  • No pre-publication approval

To protect our independence, we do not offer copy approval. We will always check quotes and facts attributed to us.

  • Response times

We aim to acknowledge enquiries within one working day, and faster where a deadline requires it.

Media kit

Everything you need to file

The kit gathers our approved description, brand marks, a fact sheet and cleared portraits. Request the current version and we will send a time-stamped link.
