Kwame Asante-Boateng read economics at the University of Ghana and spent three years at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) in Accra before joining the Institute in 2022. His research traces how the design of technical and vocational programmes shapes young people's transitions into formal employment.
He leads a five-country comparison of vocational-training systems, coordinating fieldwork with ministries of education, and reviews the education programme's data for consistency before public release. He contributes regularly to the Institute's commentary on graduate labour markets.
