Institute publishes its 2025 Annual Review and funding disclosures

London

The 2025 Annual Review sets out the year’s research output, the Institute’s sources of funding and the safeguards that protect its editorial independence.

The International Research Institute has published its 2025 Annual Review, covering the research it produced over the year, the audiences it reached and the resources behind the work.

The review restates the Institute’s funding model and lists its sources of income, alongside the governance safeguards that keep editorial decisions with its researchers. No funder holds a right of review over the Institute’s findings or conclusions.

“Transparency about money is inseparable from credibility about evidence,” said Executive Director Adaeze Okonkwo. “An annual account of where our funding comes from is part of the standard we hold ourselves to.”

The review sets the year’s output in the context of the Institute’s development since it was founded in 2021, and the standards that govern peer review, corrections and the disclosure of methods.

The 2025 Annual Review is available on the Institute’s website, together with its editorial standards and independence disclosures.
